The Spartacus Saga: Uncut -- Oct 26 - Intro by Liam McIntyre

Description:
Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) introduces Blood & Sand episode 1, The Red Serpent, part of the Spartacus Saga: Uncut. Saturday Oct 26 at 10pm on STARZ.

Liam tips his hat at Andy Whitfield. He's always been a fan of Andy. Class act, both of them!

Here's a quote reflecting the cgi:

"At the time that Spartacus Blood and Sand aired the industry was embracing green screen as a tool to tell a better story. Rather than build a 12 story arena, it was created digitally.  In Spartacus epic vistas  and immense battles were never intended to be photo real. They were meant to heighten reality and immerse you in the story"

Take that detractors! For the idiots out there that never got it, I remember hearing stuff like:  Oh, it looks so fake! or It doesn't look real! Sigh......yep.

Hercules: Blood and Sand

So Hercules is enslaved and is sold off to become a gladiator. Sound familiar? As a matter of fact the whole trailer is very Spartacus-esque. Are the writers/producers/directors Spartacus fans? No wonder they wanted Liam McIntyre for this. Anyway I thought it was interesting to look at especially since our Sparty is in it. Have a look at the trailer and decide for yourselves:

*Note, from the appearance and description, this is not a special complete series box set release. I believe that will be coming out later. Maybe next year? These look to be just the (previously released)individual sets packaged together.

Lucretia - One of TV's Most Memorable Deaths

Just saw this thanks to the Domina herself that tweeted it. THE 15 MOST MEMORABLE TV DEATHS at Screencrush. Lucretia is number 5:

5   Lucretia in 'Spartacus'

Starz's 'Spartacus' had a habit of killing more major characters in single episodes than many shows do in their entire run, so a death on this show has to be really special if it wants to stand out from the crowd. No death was more harrowing or operatic than that of Lucy Lawless' Lucretia, who ended a season of suffering in the flashiest way possible......... read the rest
