Spartacus: War of the Damned Episode 4 Description - Spoiler

***Warning*** this is a spoiler. Do not read if you don't want to be spoiled.

The episode log lines for episode 4, 'Decimation,' is available. Unlike the episodes 1-3 log lines(which I didn't find spoiler-ish at all), I would say yes, in this case that it is somewhat spoiler-ish, given that we haven't seen the three previous episodes as yet, and have no context to base assumption and speculation upon.

The log line is very interesting. Before I reveal it, a definition of the title 'Decimation,' as stated by good ol Wikipedia:
It was a form of military discipline used by officers in the Roman Army to punish mutinous or cowardly soldiers. The word decimation is derived from Latin meaning "removal of a tenth".

A unit selected for punishment by decimation was divided into groups of ten; each group drew lots  and the soldier on whom the lot fell was executed by his nine comrades, often by stoning or clubbing. The remaining soldiers were given rations of barley instead of wheat and forced to sleep outside the Roman encampment.

Because the punishment fell by lot, all soldiers in the group were eligible for execution, regardless of the individual degree of fault, or rank and distinction. The leadership was usually executed independently of the one in ten deaths of the rank and file.

Current use of the word:
The word decimation is often (incorrectly) used to refer to an extreme reduction in the number of a population or force, much greater than the one tenth defined by the "deci" root. It is frequently (and again, incorrectly) used as a synonym for the word "annihilate" which the OED lists as meaning "to reduce to non-existence, blot out of existence.

Hmmmn.......

Once again, a warning before you click the spoiler tag. Do no click if you don't want to be spoiled.

Here it is:

Spartacus War Of The Damned - Scoop on Caesar

A tiny insight of Caesar from TV Guide's Mega Buzz:

I can't wait for Spartacus to return for my weekly dose of blood and bodies! Any scoop on what this version of Julius Caesar will be like? -- Kyle

NATALIE: This is not your mama's Caesar! The series introduces us to him before he became a great statesman and general. Looking like a young Brad Pitt -- shaggy, buff, charismatic and a little bit crazy -- Caesar (newcomer Todd Lasance) will reveal that he's somewhat impetuous, has a keen mind but also (surprise!) has a bloody shocking sexual kink.

***Edit December10 2012***
These are without a spoiler tag. I don't consider them spoiler-ish at all. They are not giving anything away story-wise, plot-wise. They are not a secret as they are on Starz's own site. Actually I find them curious. Great to generate a lot of speculation and discussion which has indeed taken place at tumblr. If/when I get descriptions, those however, shall be placed with a spoiler tag.
